This section explains which personal data anto processes, why, and how you can object. It covers visitors of this website, people who leave their email for launch updates, and engineers who may appear in our search results.
Who is responsible
Novanto is the controller for all personal data described on this page. For anything about your data, write to privacy@useanto.com.
This website
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking. Fonts and images are served from this domain, nothing is loaded from third parties.
The website is hosted by Cloudflare. To deliver the pages and protect them against abuse, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Launch updates
If you leave your email on this website, we send you one email asking you to confirm it (double opt-in). Only confirmed addresses receive launch updates. We store your email address, which form you used, when you signed up and when you confirmed. We use it only to tell you about the launch of anto. Our legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
The addresses are stored in a Cloudflare database located in the European Union and are not shared with anyone. Emails are sent through Resend, an email delivery service, from its EU region. Unconfirmed addresses are deleted after 30 days. You can withdraw your consent at any time by replying to any of our emails or by writing to privacy@useanto.com; we then delete your address. We delete the whole list at the latest 12 months after launch.
Candidate data
anto helps engineering staffing firms find engineers for their vacancies. To do that, we process professional profile data:
- Name, current and past job titles, employers, career history, education, skills, and location (city, country).
- Where available, the public URL of the professional profile.
- We do not process sensitive data such as health, religion or political views.
Where the data comes from. From publicly available professional profiles, collected through specialised data providers and searches on professional networks. On request, we tell you the specific source of your data.
Why we use it. To match engineers with engineering vacancies of staffing firms that use anto. Our legal basis is legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): connecting professionals with relevant job opportunities in their field. We weigh this interest against your rights and limit processing to professional data.
How profiles are ranked. anto ranks profiles against a vacancy with the help of AI and gives a written reason for each ranking. The ranking supports recruiters. It does not decide on its own whether anyone is contacted or hired.
Who receives it. Recruiters at staffing firms using anto receive shortlists that may include your professional data. Technical service providers (hosting, database, AI processing) process data on our behalf under data processing agreements. Some of these providers are based outside the European Union, for example in the United States. Where that is the case, transfers are covered by the safeguards the GDPR requires, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it. We keep profile data while it is relevant for matching and delete it at the latest 24 months after it was last updated. Data of people who opt out is deleted, except for a minimal record that prevents the profile from being added again.
Your rights
You can request access to your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict its processing, and object to it at any time. You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Opt out
Send an email to privacy@useanto.com with the subject "Opt-out" and the URL of your professional profile, or your full name and current employer. We remove you from anto without undue delay, at the latest within one month, and confirm by email.
